The best way to extend the life of your roof is to have a good maintenance plan in place. Performing regular roof inspections can help detect minor problems before they turn into bigger issues, and can extend the life of your roof.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR:
There are signs you can look for to determine if a routine maintenance program would be right for you. Please note, all of these items can be assessed from the ground, we do not encourage climbing on your own roof.
- Curling or Buckling Shingles – This can be a sign that your shingles are nearing the end of their life expectancy. In some cases it can also mean there is a defect on the roof.
- Missing Shingles – High winds can cause shingles to blow off the roof or it may be a sign that the roof may be failing.
- Chimney Damage – Check for damage or discoloration of the bricks and it’s flashing.
- Interior Ceiling Damage – Inspect your ceilings inside your home for signs of brown spots, bubbling plaster or areas that water may be entering.
